Going Wild Cat!

Greatings, fashion friends! Today's sketch was inspired by (drum-roll please) A High School Musical! Yes, yes, I know that it's the best movie ever and all, but turns out it is great fashion inspiration too! This one-peice outfit is one hundred persent High School Musical. The bright red color is totally Wild Cat worthy and the wide boat neckline reminds me of the dress that Gabriella wears in the finally of the first movie. As for the chunky gold embellishments around the neckline, those reminded me of the lights around movie star's dressing room mirrors, you know? Do you get what I was going for? This outfit is super bold and outgoing (it's a bit too bold for my personal stile) but I think that some people with more bold personalities could totally rock this look. Pluss, it's kinda perfect for an actor and actress, really bold and attention getting. Just, not for being on TV. Bright red can bleed on the screen (a helpful tip for if you ever get a chance to be on TV and get a wild impuls to turn Wild Cat). Anyway, I was asking my younger sister to give me movie titles so that I could design outfits inspired by them. She rated my outfits on a scale of one to ten. This look got a nine. What would you guys rate it? Tell me in the comments! And tell me if you would wear this outfit and what you think of High School Musical. (Oh, and you should totally watch the new High School Musical searies, it's great!) That's all for today, but think about what the caracters are wearing and different color sceams that could be put into outfits next time you watch a good movie! TTFN

Zoo Chalenge

Hello, fellow fashionistas! For today's design, I challenged myself to design an outfit inspired by a zoo animal. Can you guess which animal I chose? If you said giraffe, then yes! You are correct. I designed a cute hooded-poncho made of warm yellow cloth with brown leather panels. The colors are very giraffe-y, but I kept it modern and cool. I think that this poncho could serve as cool rain gear, or you could pair it with leggings or jeans and rock this look while shopping or touring town . . . Or a good old trip to the zoo! I encourage those of you who like designing to go out there adn challenge yourselves with stuff like designing zoo clothing! Get creative, and think outside the box. Waky or weird designs are NOT a bad thing!

Pock-A-Dot, Pock-A-Dot

Greetings everyone! Today the sketch is a um...What do you call it when a shirt and pants are attached? A romper? Or is that just for when it is a shirt and shorts? I'll just call it a romper. Any way. This very cute romper has pink pock-a-dots against a yellow back round. It has a zipper down the front and I think you could very well use it as a cute swim cover-up.

Pop! Pop! Pop!

Hello lovely people! Family, friends, I welcome you all to my blog on this fine (But rainy, at least at my house) Saturday. Is that too formal of a greeting? Any-hoo. Today the sketch is, drum-roll please, A POPCORN DRESS. Hmmm. Was that too dramatic? I will try again. Ahem. Today the sketch is a very nice popcorn dress. Okay that is much less exciting but dose it really mater? This dress has three pale yellow ruffles around the neck line for the popcorn and it is in red and white stripes like the traditional popcorn container. Waite. Did people acutely once use red and white striped popcorn containers with jagged edges? Well if they did or not that is the kind of container that this dress is based on. I know thouse containers were jagged around the top but this dress it jagged around the hem. What do you guys think?

Not a Shirt Not a Skirt

Hi guys. Today's post will be short and will start with a update on the Doll-House-Fixer-Upper project. Today we washed and sanded it. It is pretty sturdy. I also made a little pillow and a blanket for the doll house or more the doll house furnicher. Now on to the sketch. It is a light pink shit dress. Probably the first shirt dress I every drew. It has buttons down the front and a thin ribbon sash as you can see. What do you guys think of it? Am I good at drawing shirt dresses?

A Fixer-Uper Doll House

Hello readers! (I got that greeting from Sew Zoey). I have some news! My grate grandfather made this doll house for my grandmother (Hi Mimi! I know you are probably reading this.) and it has been stored away for a long time. The resolute: It is very dusty, the bottom floor is not attached, and I think one of the walls came out. Me and my sister with help from Mom and Dad (And assuming we do not peter out on the project) are going to fix it up! It needs to be washed and repainted and there's some doll furniture that was also my grandmas so we get to fix that up too!
Now on to today's sketch. I used the same skirt as in the post called A Trip Back in Time but in purple not blue. The rest of the outfit is a pock-a-dot cardigan, a yellow turtle neck sweater, and pointy toed ballet flats. What do you guys think of the doll-house-fixer-uper project and the outfit?

A Bash of Patterns

This design fetchers a ginghim skirt, a shirt with those little ruffles or tucks or something (I am not shore what little ruffle things like that are called); a pokadot head band with a bow, and slipper like shoes with flours on the toes. This outfit shore has a lot of patterns packed into it. Those I guess that the shirt does not really have a pattern on it and the shoes doesn't have a pattern so the ensemble only has to patterns but still.
Okay that's it for today but please leav comments for me! TTFN
